What's new in chat ?

GrannyBJ danced. That's something she hasn't been able to do for awhile now. It's so nice to hear something nice like that in chat. Granny, keep it up. Looks like physical therapy has helped :)

PWMS Welcomes Pooh to our chat. She is a chatter that Red and I chatted with many years ago.  She recently moved into a new home she and her husband built. We wish you the best of luck Pooh. Hope to chat again soon.

Gumdrops AKA Candy didn't grade her kids homework for 2 nights, but she chatted with us. She is a Cherokee Indian with 7 children of her own. Oh yes, she also has 6 grandchildren :) Gumdrops has had many ups and downs, but she is very motivated. She can motivate any MSER!

Bibbi's Grandmother needs our prayer's. Take a minute if you can.

If anyone needs information on how a baclofen pump works and helps, ask Dream. She would be more than happy to help.

Social Security Secrets.

We took a look at this  website and were impressed with the scope of information provided. It's certainly difficult to explain all the ins and outs of SSDI, yet they made it relatively straightforward and accessible to regular folks. When it comes to Multiple Sclerosis and SSDI, things are anything but. It's just not one of those medical conditions where things are cut and dried; it depends on satisfying multiple additional medical criteria. Those specifics are undoubtedly well beyond, but this web site has succeeded in getting people to the starting point of MS specific considerations. Helping Chatters Get Into Chat

People continue to have difficulties getting into Dreamchat.  Tell us in detail what you have to do to a firewall, anti-virus program, or Pop-Up blocker program in order to get in.  If you had to upgrade your Windows or Internet Explorer Service Pack, tell us from what, to what.  We will start a page devoted to all the different problems people have had, and how they have overcome them, as a resource page for new chatters.

*** One major trouble people have been running into recently is with their Internet Security & Firewall Programs.  Holding down the CONTROL key while entering seems to cure the problem.  So give it a whirl if you get stuck at the log-in page. ***

DreamChat Trivia (repeated by popular demand)

  • New to Dreamchat and wondering how to make those neat little smileys and pictures in the text? Easy, here's the Cheat Sheet:

:) Smile   :* Kiss
:( Sad >-- Rose
;) Wink <love> Love
;} Wry <strobe> Strobe
:p Tongue <nuke> Nuke
:o Gasp <boom> Boom
:# Mad <star> Star
  • How do I copy and paste something?  Mark it as you usually would with the mouse.  Then use CTRL-C to copy it, and CTRL-v to paste it in the message window.

  • I'm a member.  I uploaded my avatar, and nothing happened.  What's up with that?  Even if your avatar is the specified 50 * 50 pixels, and no bigger than 15KB, there is no confirmation.  Apparently because DreamChat personnel review all permanent member's avatars to make sure they are acceptable.  (Whatever that means.)  If they are, they send back an approval in a day or so, and the next time you sign in, "poof" your new avatar appears.
