What's new in chat ?
Chat is always fun! We have the best people online. Red and I can't wait till our Fall 2005 get together. It was a MS news week as we all found out Antegren aka Tysabri was FDA approved. Here is some official information Jeff shared with us from the very new site for this very new medication http://www.tysabri.com/
Dreamcicle shared this link from the National Multiple Sclerosis Society with us on Antegren aka Tysabri. The link is to a PDF document, so you will need the Adobe Reader.
In addition, JackIL received some really encouraging news from a Doctor friend about the encouraging results of using embryonic stem cells to stimulate the regrowth of myelin. (The stuff MS eats away.) Of course, these are the bad stem cells harvested by evil doctors from unborn, unwanted fetuses. A practice which our President is morally opposes. Nevertheless, it's news to the rest of the world, and you can read the press release.
Doctor Red has done all surgery on Muff's computer. At last its done. Red will ups it back to her Monday. So she will be back online soon.
Susan is now on IV Solumedrol, which works very well for many MS'ers. Seems to be speeding her recovery.
Steve NL is doing much better. I must say he will think before eating corn flakes with milk and warm water and telling us.
We want to welcome Share back!
We had a new chatter, Arlette. Welcome! Come back soon.
Please help us remember to ask all chatters to sign the guest book, its our only way of sending out weekly news letter.
PWMS wants to offer our condolences to Dreamcicle; she lost her dog his week. Almost all of us chatters can relate to what that's like.
We need pictures and stories of our new chatters. It helps new MSer's see that they can do it also. It helps to know your not alone. So please help others - we need picture's and stories. They can be emailed to PWMS@peoplewithms.com .
How to become a RA? Simply host and get a room going with enough chatters. Then you may need the extra capabilities of an RA. Our RA's use their judgment as to what seems appropriate. So the wildly funny comments of one night, may not be as funny the next night when different chatters are present. Keep in mind who is in the room; respect others sensibility and feelings. We try to update our hosting schedule as fast as we get any changes. Check hosting schedule.click here
If anyone has any ideas on hosting daily or nightly Topic chats please contact us at PWMS@PeopleWithMS.com

Baggie Boy's experience with the Hyperbaric Chamber
This is a photo of the hyper baric chamber were I ( Baggie Boy ) and UK Sandy go for treatment for MS you sit in the air tight chamber and breath pure oxygen ( look's spooky but I assure you it isn't ) any way they say breathing pure oxygen knits muscle damage, Don't know if its true but i would not like to find out by stopping the treatment to find out.
The treatment last's for one hour and you just sit and read or listen to the radio and just chill out while you having the treatment then when we come out of the chamber we all sit and natter over tea/coffee, the centre we go to is near to Wolferhampton City centre in the UK, I like to attend the MS centre for the social aspect of it and its some were you go and you don't have to try and hide your disability because every one's been there or done it and got the T shirt.
So those of you who ever get the chance to go into a hyper baric chamber go and give it ago its worth a try ( because its only like an alternative medicine ) so any thing's worth ago if it helps. Let us know if you do

Message Board: We are slowly working on a message board. Crystal's Husband Daver has given us hope and help! This will give us a forum for discussion of MS topics. And fun stuff too. It really will come it's much more detailed them we expected ! There is so much time in a day.
*** We Need Your Help * * *
Helping Chatters Get Into Chat
People continue to have difficulties getting into Dreamchat. Tell us in detail what you have to do to a firewall, anti-virus program, or Pop-Up blocker program in order to get in. If you had to upgrade your Windows or Internet Explorer Service Pack, tell us from what, to what. We will start a page devoted to all the different problems people have had, and how they have overcome them, as a resource page for new chatters.
*** One major trouble people have been running into recently is with their Internet Security & Firewall Programs. Holding down the CONTROL key while entering seems to cure the problem. So give it a whirl if you get stuck at the log-in page. ***
DreamChat Trivia (repeated by popular demand)
New to Dreamchat and wondering how to make those neat little smileys and pictures in the text? Easy, here's the Cheat Sheet:
:) Smile :* Kiss :( Sad >-- Rose ;) Wink <love> Love ;} Wry <strobe> Strobe :p Tongue <nuke> Nuke :o Gasp <boom> Boom :# Mad <star> Star
How do I copy and paste something? Mark it as you usually would with the mouse. Then use CTRL-C to copy it, and CTRL-v to paste it in the message window.
I'm a member. I uploaded my avatar, and nothing happened. What's up with that? Even if your avatar is the specified 50 * 50 pixels, and no bigger than 15KB, there is no confirmation. Apparently because DreamChat personnel review all permanent member's avatars to make sure they are acceptable. (Whatever that means.) If they are, they send back an approval in a day or so, and the next time you sign in, "poof" your new avatar appears.
Crystal is back! We are waiting for more of Crystal's Corner!
