Buddy Well. I'm not sure how to start. I
guess my journey started when I was 26 or 27, I am 30 now. It kind of
starts out like the lights flickering and then finally going out. I
had, had problems with my eyes first before anything else started and
took EYE BRIGHT and went about my business. I was part of a electrician
apprenticship and I was having a tough time getting off a ladder and I
had parted ways with the electrician after 3 months and took a job at a
catering business that I am still at and I love. When symptoms started
to show I thought nothing of them, plus I didn't have health insurance
so I was not in a good spot at all. I was driving a manual transmission
at the time and on my way home from work some nights my legs would be
numb, so all my motions and actions were to over compensate. I once
lost my balance and fell down the stairs, My pops and I loved to throw
the ball around and I could not pick up the ball, I was shying away
from the ball and I chalked it up to the sun being in my eyes, when I
went out drinking with my best friend I could not consume as much as I
could before and finally after 1 or 2 beers I would stumble and I would
get the question "are you ok man?" so to stop hearing that all together
I stopped drinking. Then I got health insurance and the first thing I
did was get my eyes tested (actually the first thing I did was get an
STD test and I was and remain to be clean) and all I wanted was to get
john lennon glasses (I know some may not know who that is so HARRY
POTTER glasses) and I didn't get glasses that day, infact I got
referred to a neorologist and the real journey would begin, He had me
walk in a straight line like on a tight rope and I could not do it, my
balance was way off my sight was horrible. I had to switch my diet I
switched to the swank diet, so instead of throwing all kinds of
"raccoon garbage" into my body I was eating healthier and eating
sensable and not eating doritos and drinking dr.pepper and other sodas
and eating 7-11 food which I don't even think is food anymore. I lost
weight I went from 162- 165 to an even 150. with the nerologist I did
an MRI and then I was told it might be MS so that is when I decided to
switch my diet and so the next MRI was to determain if I had it or not
and when I found out I had MS I have to say I was pissed, how could
this be I thought I reversed everything by changing my diet, I was
running the other way and I still ended up with MS, I did a great job
of changing my diet and doing a total 180 I was very militant and anal
about what I was eating, It was like I had people turning there heads
and notice what I was doing, I was eating right, taking vitaminS. I now
go to a naturopath because I decided not to go with the injections
route, but I knew I had to do something and as everyone knows A
positive something is better than a negative nothing. A friend referred
of mine referred me to a naturopath and I love it, he had me lay down
on his table face down and on my spine, palms of my hands and balls of
my feet he put nerve cream and he said "you may feel a difference soon"
The truth is I started to feel the difference right away because if I
had to lay on my stomach for that long my legs and my arms would fall
asleep and they didn't. So me coming so far in this journey and it just
being the beginning it will be intresting to see how it all plays out,
But I hope I can help anyone who needs it.
