My name is Dora
My name is Dora Laudenslager. I am 42 yrs old, I’ve been married for 15 yrs,and I have one wonderful son, who is 19.
I had my first symptoms 3 yrs ago...all
neurological...no short term memory, dizziness,
ringing in the ears, eyes super sensitive to light,
walking like I was drunk, eyes bulging like I smoked a
pound of weed lol. I WAS TESTED FOR EVERYTHING KNOWN
TO MAN...except MS. After 2 months, they determined
that I had Lyme Disease (even though both Lyme tests
came out negative). A year later, I started having
issues with my right leg...I just figured it was
residuals from Lyme Disease. I brought it to the
attention to my PCP...they did nothing. I recently had
knee surgery (in May)...at one of my follow-up visits
with my orthopedic guy, I showed him how I wasn't able
to curl the toes on my right foot. He tested my
strength, etc...and referred me to a neuorologist. He
did a nerve induction, tested strength...then sent me
for my first MRI, on my brain.
A couple of days later, he called and said that he
didn't find anything. A week later, he called me back,
saying that he took a second look at the films, and he
did find something...nothing serious...and met with
him the next day. He showed me the 2 lesions in my
brain...but he wasn't sure what they were. So he
referred me to another neuro guy. He ordered another
MRI...on my neck and upper spine...took 9 days to get
the results, I thought I would lose my little mind! The films showed a lesion on my neck.
Official diagnosis on 11/9/07.
