Joy
| Hi,
My name is Joy . . . . . .and I was diagnosed with MS in November 2005. It started out with numbness in hands and feet. So far I’m coping pretty well with it but I do have my days as you probably well know. I have a supportive family and friends and that is what keeps me from freaking out LOL. I live in Florida and I am still working full time so I’m thankful for that. I have tried two MS therapies Rebif and Betaseron and could not tolerate them well because of elevated liver enzymes. Plus I felt pretty awful most of the time that I was on them. Right now I am on an investigative drug study (FTY720) Fingolimod which is a MS modifying drug in pill form. The study I am in is a pill (Fingolimod) once a day and injection once a week (Avonex). One of them is Placebo. I honestly can’t tell which one is Placebo. It would be great to just take a pill once a day wouldn’t it. Well I hope to make lots of friends here at People with MS. I will be chatting with you. |
