Mike

Hello.....my name is Mike (AKA Mike)...there are a few that know me as Bunny,
but that ID in chatrooms can cause complications, attention from males or scare some if I sit too close to them.

I was born in Wales UK on 3rd april 1954, hanging on for 2 days to avoid making a fool of myself, but since then I have made a fool of myself on numerous occasions.

I had a normal childhood but with lots of freedom, made my own explosives at the age of 10 and burnt both my eyebrows off perfecting the formular for gunpowder....I would wave to my mother from the top of 100ft trees and go for walks on my own into the wilderness at the age of 3...my mothers hair went white at a young age.

When I was 18 I decided it was time to get married, so I joined a computer dating organisation and filled out long forms all about me and the kind of lady I would like to meet...6 weeks later the dating computer informed me that the number of women in Wales compatible with me was .....zero
...but someone kicked the computer and it printed out Rose, complete with phone number...I proposed marriage 2 weeks later and after the initial shock she said yes.

Somehow Rose has put up with me for the last 35 years, she says it seems more like 200 years.  I think that both of us being crazy helps...we have 4 children, one of them owns the internet, but his name is secret and we have 8 grandchildren who give me a headache every christmas. Rose remembers their names...I would need to put stickers on their foreheads...Rose even knows their birthdays and she tells me how old I am when I have forgotten.

I don't have MS unless I got it without knowing, but Rose has that's for sure and has all the symptoms that I am sure you are familiar with, especially the fatigue....Her MS story is similar to many here, waking up one morning half blind in one eye, then she had numbness of her left arm and the little guy who sits on your shoulder whispering worries into your ear had a field day with her telling her that she was going to die soon of some brain tumour.....they gave her all the tests and scans very very fast which doesn't happen in the UK unless you have been hit by a bus, so the speed of the doctors just added to our worries.

Looking back I think all the doctors knew it could be MS but none of them spoke its name.
One day she was laying in an MRI scanner, while I waited in a room full of people and the hospital fire alarm went off, everyone was told to leave, but in a fire I don't go anywhere without Rose, so I stayed alone in the room, but I have to admit I looked around for the nearest fire exit and sat next to it.....5 minutes later Rose came along in bare feet and a hospital gown and we made our escape together out onto the hospital roof......it turned out to be a false alarm....I suggested to Rose that when the MRI got to her brain it must have crashed the whole hospital computer system including the alarm circuits.

A diagnosis of MS in the UK is a slow process, it took us 7 years and on the day the diagnosis was given by a neurologist, with 2 nurses in the room in case Rose and I freaked out, ...we were fine, we were glad that at last we had a diagnosis. We already knew that we were dealing with MS and we knew lots about MS, so it was Rose and I who helped the neurologist relax.

Our family doctor says that Rose and I make an interesting pair because I have Klippel Trenauney Syndrome, a genetic coding error in my VG5Q gene...its so rare that I had to find out myself what I had and tell the doctors.

I spent months trying to find out what was wrong with me and saw lots of doctors and specialists and ended up having psychiatric treatment for someone who believed they had a rare medical condition and a compulsion for reading huge piles of medical books.   Then one day I found a picture of me in a book, well it wasn't me, it was a kid who had the same as me...so I told the doctors what I had and the psychiatrist that his services were no longer required.

I love the internet and I am trying to learn everything there is to learn about everything....my head hasn't exploded yet but after 10 years online my sanity is now in question.

One of my projects is to find the lost ark of the covenant and I am very close, so if I enter the chatroom one morning in a very excited state, you may guess why, or maybe its just the frogs all arriving at my pond for their springtime breeding

Rose and I have a lot of stuff on the internet if you are gullible enough to look...photographs and videos and a blog...you can find us by searching Google for "hayeslogbook".

I am a recluse who enjoys the company of people.
Well that will do for now....I think I will attach the photo of me on the couch...smile

Rose
