MY name is patti and my story is different than most people with
multiple sclerosis . Back in 2004 I not only had been in a car accident
which injured my neck which lead to having a bone graft, plate and
screws placed in my neck but began to experience numbness in my left
hand and fingers . By 2005 i started dropping things and tripping but
figured that i was tired and over looked it. By Nov 2006 I felted every
nerve in my spine go off from my neck to my bottom where I ended up in
the Hospital for 5 days after the doctor's thought i had a stroke
because i lost my speech for 3 days and had really bad tremors all over
my body which lasted for 4 hours until a shot was given to stop the
tremor's. I also had no balance and had to stay in bed. After going
thru all that i have never been able to walk well again and use a
mobile scooter to get around. An EEG was done which showed something
was going on . More test were done that showed i had not had a stroke
and they sent me home. In Dec 2006 I saw a Neurologist who sent me to
have mri done which evidence showed i had multiple sclerosis. By August
2006 i ended up having a Brain aneurysm. Im now currently seeing a
Neurologist/MS Specialist who also ran other test that also pointed to
new lesions on my spine, Multiple sclerosis. life is still good for i
have my Husband who is loving, understanding and there for me.
